Food Production seminar with Simon Doff, Business Development Manager, Faculty of Life Sciences, London Metropolitan University.
Simon has BA (Hons) in Geography, a MSc in Food Safety & Control and has teaching and auditing qualifications. He worked for McDonald’s and British Home Stores before specialising in the fine food sector and has run a delicatessen, set up and managed a wholesale business supplying London hotels with sausages and bacon and been managing director of a biscuit manufacturer.
For the past fourteen years, he has managed and delivered university-based consultancy and training services for food manufacturers in London and has advised over 700 small and medium size businesses.
On-site consultancy work has focused on improving working practices, management systems and documentation in the areas of: food hygiene, food safety, quality management, production management, and new product development in order that companies can meet any of the following standards:

SALSA (Safe And Local Supplier Approval) Scheme Standard, Issue 3
Food Standards Agency’s Safer Food Better Business Toolkit.
